In July 2025, Bristol University Press published the interdisciplinary anthology The Realities of Autonomous Weapons, edited by Thomas Christian Bächle and Jascha Bareis. The book brings together contributions from academia, politics, and artistic research, shedding light on the challenges of human responsibility in the age of autonomous military systems.

The scholarly-artistic illustrations by Jinyu Wang on the topic of “military artificial intelligence” were created under the supervision of Mert Akbal. They visualize the complex ethical, technological, and political questions surrounding autonomous weapons systems – an interdisciplinary dialogue between image and theory.

Im Juli 2025 veröffentlichte die Bristol University Press den interdisziplinären Sammelband The Realities of Autonomous Weapons, herausgegeben von Thomas Christian Bächle und Jascha Bareis. Das Buch versammelt Beiträge aus Wissenschaft, Politik und künstlerischer Forschung und beleuchtet die Herausforderungen menschlicher Verantwortung im Zeitalter autonomer militärischer Systeme.

Die wissenschaftlich-künstlerischen Illustrationen von Jinyu Wang zum Thema „militärische Künstliche Intelligenz“ entstanden unter der Betreuung von Mert Akbal. Sie visualisieren die komplexen ethischen, technologischen und politischen Fragen rund um autonome Waffensysteme – ein interdisziplinärer Dialog zwischen Bild und Theorie.
