Global Dialogues Challenge

The Generative Arts and Design Lab focused in the summer semester of 2025 on an international competition organized by the Collective Intelligence Project. For this purpose, a global dataset was made available, consisting of qualitative and quantitative contributions from 70 countries, in 7 languages, and with more than 3,400 voices on the future of AI.

Das Generative Arts and Design Lab widmete sich im Sommersemester 2025 einem internationalen Wettbewerb, der vom Collective Intelligence Project organisiert wurde. Dafür wurde ein globales Datenset zur Verfügung gestellt, das qualitative und quantitative Beiträge aus 70 Ländern, in 7 Sprachen und mit mehr als 3.400 Stimmen zur Zukunft der KI umfasst.

As part of the Global Dialogues Challenge, people from around the world were invited to use this material and develop new forms of engagement. More than 500 participants from over 30 countries created stories, research papers, games, films, poems, and new benchmarks to help shape the future of AI. Students from the Generative Arts and Design Lab also took part: 22 students formed 10 groups and submitted their work. Two of these groups received awards:

Applicability Award for Ganesh Gopalkrishna Hegde with his project “AI Social Contract and Atlas of AI Sentiment: A Global Blueprint for Context-Aware Governance.”

Honorable Mention for Gabriela Vega with her project “AI LIVES: A Global Perspective” — two interactive stories exploring AI’s potential impact on human lives in the near future, focusing on corruption and work.

Im Rahmen der Global Dialogues Challenge waren Menschen weltweit eingeladen, dieses Material zu nutzen und neue Formen der Auseinandersetzung zu entwickeln. Mehr als 500 Teilnehmende aus über 30 Ländern erarbeiteten daraus Geschichten, Forschungsarbeiten, Spiele, Filme, Gedichte und neue Orientierungsmaßstäbe für die Gestaltung der Zukunft von KI.

Auch Studierende des Generative Arts and Design Lab nahmen teil: 22 Studierende bildeten 10 Gruppen und reichten ihre Arbeiten ein. Zwei dieser Gruppen wurden ausgezeichnet:
