Anlässlich des Tanzfestivals n.o.w. dance saar laden Maria-Helena Buckley und Meritxell Aumedes Molinero die Zuschauer zu ganz privaten Einblicken in die Arbeit der Donlon Dance Company ein. Die Fotografin betrachtet zwei Stücke von Marguerite Donlon durch die Linse, aus diesem Blickwinkel eröffnen sich ungewohnte Perspektiven auf treibende Körper in der Dunkelheit, eingerahmt von Wasserprojektionen. Momentaufnahmen, eingefangen während des Trainings und der Proben schaffen dazu eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre.
The exhibition / performance, a collaboration of xm:lab and the Donlon Dance Company, takes place in the context of the n.o.w. Dance Saar Festival 2011 in Saarbrücken. The video artist Meritxell Aumedes Molinero presents the photographic work of Maria Helena Buckley on the , wich celebrates its 10 years ' anniversary. It portraits the dancers from the company as well as the choreographies from Marguerite Donlon „Casa Azul“, „αplha“, „Soma“ and „Sacre“. The gallery at the HBK offers the platform for this work to be exhibited.
Concept
The exhibition combines photography, projections and life performance with real set elements from the different productions. An intimate close up to the world of the Donlon Dance Company taking us through diverse atmospheres. Dancers flying in darkness, a space were the viewer plays with the different perspectives through printed and real elements, colourful images revealed on the water surface, and a glance into rehearsals and backstage moments.
Meritxell Aumedes Molinero
Meritxell Aumedes Molinero Born in Barcelona (Spain) in 1978. After her Diploma at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Köln, works as a dancer in various theaters in Germany. Since 2002 is member of the Donlon Dance Company at the Saarländisches Staatstheater, where she has been dancing diverse main rolles. Parallel to her dance career, studies Multimedia at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Spain). Her video works, in collaboration with Marguerite Donlon and other choreographers, have been presented in Paris, Bremerhaven and in Saarbrücken (Saarländisches Staatstheater, Alte Feuerwache, Saarlandmuseum and Staatsgalerie).
